We’re looking for an exceptionally talented and motivated software engineer to help lead the development of our run book automation products. The right person must be passionate about delivering high-quality web applications using server-side Java.
About You
• Your teammates know you as the Java expert.
• You love learning new languages like Ruby and Python.
• You mercilessly refactor messy code.
• You think deleting unneeded code is almost more fun than writing new code.
• You enjoy using and contributing to open-source frameworks.
• You are self-motivated and have an easy time jumping into new projects.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop new features for Data Palette, our IT automation product.
• Enhance our test suite with new unit tests.
• Help the support team resolve issues at customer sites.
• Work closely with and mentor other members of the engineering team.
• Perform and participate in code reviews.
Required Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years designing and implementing Java based web applications.
• 5+ years of object oriented design and implementation.
• Expert knowledge of the Java language.
• Understanding of relational database design and SQL.
• Solid experience using Unix and Windows operating systems. Preferably used a Unix based operating system as your primary development environment for several years.
Compensation
Stratavia's benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance and 401(k). Employee stock options may be awarded based on exceptional performance. Salary is partially based on experience.
